Can we trade our love of violence for a love of God's creation?
There is no material gain we can achieve that will fill the void in our spirits. Only Jesus Christ can do this.
One question people have asked for generations throughout time is, is God really good? Philosophers have struggled with what they call “the problem of evil” for as long as the art of philosophy has existed.
The early Christians were different than what people see Christians as today. They were pacifists, they enjoyed communal living, and their focus was on love. One might say they embodied the spirit of ubuntu.
We, as Latter Day Saints, claim to be living in the last days. When we look at the life of Joseph Smith Jr., his visions and revelations, it does appear to be the case. But looking at the sects that came from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that broke apart in 1844, when the men that God had called as leaders all refused to work as one. Where did these spiritual gifts go?
Jesus saw and understood the Father in the Torah, the scriptures.
To understand God's view of fornication, we must understand the relationship between God and the Church. In the Scriptures, God is the Groom. The Church (all of us) is the Bride.
Every being on the planet, human, animal and plant. Respect life as it comes from the same divine Source as yourself.
This is an interesting concept, love thy neighbor as thyself. Sure, it’s not unfamiliar to Jews, Christians, or really any religion. This statement reflects the point of all world religions.
As we grow in Grace, the Holy Spirit helps us purge our worldly Egoistic desires until our relationship with God grows to the point where we finally hear Him and understand.
