I am writing this mostly to understand myself better. I know there are nuts and bolts that apply to Lishma. Some of those I know what they are, many I do not know and can only learn as I participate or observe others who experience the condition called lishma.
Kaf Hei Tav is the eighth name of God. It is a meditation and mantra for defusing negative energy and stress. On a personal level this can be used for cleaning, or renewal. When used as a Priesthood ordnance, it may be used for comfort, cleansing and exorcisms. It draws on the purifying Light of Christ to cleans, restore, and refresh.
Dr. Michelle G. Wiener has written an excellent paper on the temple and unity. As her paper points out, the four traditional methods of unifying the Saints, "(1) Faith and Order, (2) Life and Work, (3) Common missionary efforts, and (4) A renewed commitment to theological education," historically fall flat repeatedly.
