Dr. Michelle G. Wiener has written an excellent paper on the temple and unity. As her paper points out, the four traditional methods of unifying the Saints, “(1) Faith and Order, (2) Life and Work, (3) Common missionary efforts, and (4) A renewed commitment to theological education,” historically fall flat repeatedly. Why? Maybe it is because all of these share the same focus: human egoism. It is the “mysticism” of the temple that allows for personal interpretation and personal growth that will ultimately lead to Christian unity.
3 Ways Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life
Christians everywhere say that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus even said this of himself. But what does this mean? Is it merely bringing the physically dead back to life or is it something more?
The Son does what He sees the Father do

This is a famous scripture in Brighamite Mormonism within the Latter Day Saint movement, I was always taught growing up that this referred to God the Father once being a human man. Jesus somehow saw the Father live His mortal life, and was doing the same. This idea never fully made sense to me for several reasons, but primarily because I was also taught that Jesus was created as a spirit baby after the Father’s mortality. Speaking to a friend this week I was enlightened to a new way of understanding this scripture, and in turn all scriptures.

one of the 72 Kabbalistic names of God, Aleph Kaf Aleph is known as the root of the soul. It is used to help one bring order to their life by helping them connect to their soul, the Born Again new life created the moment one’s heart is pierced.
