God is Father-God is Mother, Never One without the Other
“And he said unto me, Nephi, what beholdest thou? And I said unto him, A virgin, most beautiful and fair above all other virgins.” -1 Nephi 3:54b-55, 11:14b-15 OPV
Mother Mary represents the feminine aspect of the Godhead. For Mary as well as Jesus, their lifetimes were their final initiations for the ascension. Both Jesus and Mary attained Godhood at the end of their lifetimes and took their places in the Spiritual Hierarchy as well as leaving a record in the etheric realms of this event for posterity. Jesus reminded us throughout his ministry he was the way shower, to remind us that we could do all that he could and more if we followed in his footsteps.
Church vrs Torah
Reminiscing
In the shower this morning I was considering the concept of “church”. Every time I run into a conversation on – church – I get uneasy. I don’t believe in church but I know the person does. The moral structure of churches are hypocritical, limited and artificial. I believe in the structure of society Moses laid out in the Torah, is more honest, and lends itself to spiritual connectedness to Gd.
The Twelve Sefirot
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” –Proverbs 11:30
In Mormon Kabbalah there are 12 Sefirot, ten visible on the Tree of Life, one invisible, and the twelfth Sefirot is the Tree itself, En Sof.
Hod
“Thou shalt not steal; blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” –Book of the Law of the Lord 1:8/3 Nephi 5:52 RAV, 12:5 OPV
The 10 Sefirot (Hebrew for “emanations”) are the 10 attributes of God in Kabbalah, through which Ein Sof (the Everlasting name of God) reveals Himself/Themselves to humankind. There are a few different ways of using the Sefirot. Some Kabbalists study and grow from attribute to attribute, while others see them as an urim and thummim. As an urim and thummim, the right and left sides create a series of “lenses” for the natural eyes, while the center creates a series of “lenses” for the third or spiritual eye. Through this urim and thummim, God helps us see both the physical realm and the chain of higher metaphysical realms.
Revelation to the Levites
The following revelation was given to the Levites, and all those called to serve the Lord as Levites, though David in Ohio on August 13, 2019. This revelation was voted on and sustained as canon for use in the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship by the Assembly of Saints April 6, 2020.
8 Threads of the Garments of the Priesthood
When one enters the ministry they are ordained to the priesthood. We are then, being clean, given the Garments of the Priesthood. In the Book of Remembrance, the Lord God sends Raphael to teach us the deeper symbolism of the Garments
Poly Problems
Polygamy (used here to describe polygyny, a marriage in which one man has multiple spouses; polyandry, a marriage in which one woman has multiple spouses; polyculy, those having more than one husband and wife, or a group marriage) are ways some relationships are enjoyed. They aren’t for everyone and not every person that identifies as “poly” is in a polygamous relationship. And that’s okay. There is a misguided idea floating around that choosing to make another person’s feelings and desires a priority in any way somehow makes that other person selfish. This is an extremely pessimistic and self-serving point of view.
The Hidden Book of Moses
“Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.” -Luke 16:29 KJV
Of the many great mysteries posed by the bible, the attitude of the Jews toward the Samaritans is not one. Perhaps no other explanation need be sought as to why the proceeding work was not considered for inclusion in the Hebrew Canon of scripture, notwithstanding their having preserved the oldest manuscript of the Torah available for centuries. Had relations been better, we all may have grown up revering the present work. It is therefore a delight to find the diamond that they overlooked.
Language of the Kingdom Age
“These commandments are of me and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding.” -Doctrines of the Saints 1:27
In a conversation with Elder David, I was introduced to some things in yoga that I had not previously considered. It relates to a conversation he and I shared earlier regarding the need to educate people on new or unfamiliar terminology we may be using when we teach. I have to thank David for introducing me to this website that brought me a whole different way of looking at everything, particularly at the power of language that is unfamiliar to those of the Western Hemisphere, more specifically to Christianity and the Restoration movement in particular.
The People of Israel
In the Latter Day Saint movement, the terms “Zion” and “Israel” come up a lot. Sometimes they are even used interchangeably. But what do these words mean? And what do they have to do with us, today?
The Book of Enoch
The Book of Enoch, or 1 Enoch, is an ancient religious work that was once a part of the Jewish and Christian canons.
Netzach
“Thou shalt not commit adultery; blessed are all they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost.” –Book of the Law of the Lord 1:7/3 Nephi 5:53 RAV, 12:6 OPV
