Jesus Taught the Kingdom
Note: The following was originally published March 6, 2019
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.” -Acts 2:17-18
I shared in my book, “The Destiny of Ephraim and the Restoration of the House of Israel” that around the year 2000, a message came to rest very powerfully in my conscience. I believed it to be a message from the Holy Spirit. “It is the end of the Church Age and the beginning of the Kingdom Age.” After this, I wrote an entire book on the subject, as the the Lord confirmed this word, again and again, through many witnesses and in many dreams, visions, and testimonies.
Jesus Came to Mary
The following is the transcript of Kristine’s Easter 2020 message.
On this Easter Sunday, we worship together in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After the atonement, Jesus was crucified, his spirit left his body, and his body was laid to rest in a sepulcher or tomb. On the first day of the week, Sunday, Jesus’ spirit and body were reunited and He rose.
Called of God
In the Latter Day Saint movement people of all walks of life are called of God as “apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth” to help move individuals, congregations, churches, and the kingdom forward in Christ.
Lo Here, and Lo There
“I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong, and the personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight: that those professors were all corrupt; He said: They draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; they teach for doctrines the commandments of men: having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” -Avahr 6:33-36
When Joseph Smith Jr. walked into the grove to pray, after reading James 1:5, he had a miraculous experience. We do not know exactly what occurred, but we do know that he had a revelation. The different versions of this vision or revelation may be studied in Appendix 1 of the Book of Avahr. The thing they all have in common is that he was told not to join any of the denominations he had explored. Why not? And does this revelation mean that all churches were evil? And if they were, are they still today?
Why We Worship Together as Saints
“And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.” -Exodus 34:8
Speaking to a friend recently, I was told that while she saw much value in the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship as a place for those seeking a spiritual home, rejected by the world and the worldly, she didn’t understand many of the things we allow for or do. She called our observance of the Holy Days as found in the Torah to be “moon worship,” and called the tallit, robes of the priesthood, etc, “silly costumes.” She didn’t understand why we needed to do much more beyond accepting one another. She saw worship, classes, services, and the rest, as something silly from a long ago and forgotten time.
Celebrating Rosh Chodesh
“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” -Romans 11:26-27
I have some insights that have been given to me, not just to me alone, as I will share my experience regarding this concerning Rosh Chodesh. Prefacing what I want to share about the instruction given concerning Rosh Chodesh, I write this to make some suggestions about how the service should be observed according to what is written about in the scriptures, particularly in light of what is presented in the Sealed Book of Mormona coming to us from Brazil. This is an area I have particular interest, and I have taken to heart with serious study and prayer concerning what is being given. I am moved to present my case about what I observe that could be improved regarding how we handle this going forward.
Grace and Works
“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” -Romans 11:6
Last week we discussed mitzvah and sacrament. We discovered God wants us to hear Him, to watch and worship Him, to remember the mitzvah (the instructions He has given us), receive ordinances, and study and live the Torah. And we do all these by grace. Yet there are still those that think there is a difference between grace and works.
8 Threads of the Garments of the Priesthood
When one enters the ministry they are ordained to the priesthood. We are then, being clean, given the Garments of the Priesthood. In the Book of Remembrance, the Lord God sends Raphael to teach us the deeper symbolism of the Garments
For the Benefit of the Church
The following revelation was given to the prophet David in Long Beach, California on December 5, 2018. In this revelation, the prophet David is told the Lord’s will for the Fellowship in regard to the Sections of the Doctrine and Covenants given to Community of Christ from the Lord.
1844 Doctrine & Covenants 109
The following section on marriage was prepared while the original Book of Doctrine and Covenants was being compiled. It was read by W. W. Phelps at the general assembly of August 17, 1835 where the assembly of Saints adopted it unanimously by common consent. It is not a revelation. It was section 101 of the 1835 Book of Doctrine and Covenants, section 109 in the 1844 edition. It was cannon for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, included in their version of the Doctrine and Covenants, until removed in 1876. It is still canon for the Reorganized churches as Section 111 of the Community of Chrsit and their offshoots’ Doctrine and Covenants. Their section and verse numbers are after the current verse numbers. Changes made for its use for the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship are in italics.
Worshipping at Home
“And in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” -Acts 5:42
Some of the members of the Fellowship currently attend local congregations of other branches of our shared religion. While there are over 100 Latter Day Saint denominations that doesn’t mean there will be a place of worship near everyone. And that’s okay, the Lord has told us we only need two or three people to worship in His name (Matthew 18: 20).
Fire: Athame
“Behold I am God, give heed unto my Word, which is quick and powerful, sharper than a two-edged sword, to the dividing asunder of both joints and marrow; therefore, give heed unto my Word.” -Avahr 24:20-21
