Recommended Reading: Temple Vision as a Catalyst to Theological Convergence
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying: Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” -Revelation 21:3
Dr. Michelle G. Wiener has written an excellent paper on the temple and unity. As her paper points out, the four traditional methods of unifying the Saints, “(1) Faith and Order, (2) Life and Work, (3) Common missionary efforts, and (4) A renewed commitment to theological education,” historically fall flat repeatedly. Why? Maybe it is because all of these share the same focus: human egoism. It is the “mysticism” of the temple that allows for personal interpretation and personal growth that will ultimately lead to Christian unity.
Parables of Matthew Thirteen Part 5: The Leavened Bread (verse 33)
The influence of the reformation is over. Spiritual decline has essentially run its course. The power and pull of traditional denominational sectarianism is declining, if not dead. The woman (sectarianism) has leavened the entire meal (Church). And the Church has transitioned into a post-reformation period. I’m referring to our present situation.
Together in Sisterhood
The following revelation has not been voted on and sustained as canon for use in the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship by the Assembly of Saints. We ask the Latter Day Saints read, study, and pray over this revelation before voting.
As early as November of 2019 Kristine, the co-president of the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship, received a revelation to the Fellowship and the Sisterhood of Christ. She did not, however feel the time was right to write this revelation down. On May 19, 2020 being in the Spirit of the Lord, she felt the time had come and recorded the following:
Parables of Matthew Thirteen Part 4: The Mustard Seed
The parables of Matthew thirteen reveal to us some of the grandest endtime truths Jesus ever uttered. Truths for our day. Our Lord chronicles for us certain events of the church age by using veiled language; i.e., a sower sowing seed, a mustard seed, leaven in a loaf, treasure hid in a field, pearl of great price, the dragnet, and a scribe.
Revelation to Newel K. Whitney through Joseph the Seer
A revelation to Newel K. Whitney through Joseph Smith Jr., the Seer at Nauvoo, Illinois, July 27, 1842. This text was taken from two documents; document A and document B, both from versions copied in the 1870’s in an unidentified handwriting. Both are from the Church History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (CJCLdS) headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Inspired changes made for its use for the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship are in italics.
Parables of Matthew Thirteen Part 3: Our Church Fathers
After the decease of the twelve apostles, “Church Fathers” began to surface, to take prominence within the Christian community. Most of these men came from philosophy backgrounds, and these men essentially wanted it both ways. They wanted to be philosophers and prophets. (Oil and water don’t mix; never have, never will. Neither will philosophers and prophets.) Men such as Origin, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus, Ignatius, Augustine, Justin Martyr, Tertullian, Arius, Aquinas and Athanasius—all Church Fathers.

Parables of Matthew Thirteen Part 2: The Church and the Kingdom
The parables of Matthew thirteen reveal to us some of the grandest endtime truths Jesus ever uttered. Truths for our day. Our Lord chronicles for us certain events of the church age by using veiled language; i.e., a sower sowing seed, a mustard seed, leaven in a loaf, treasure hid in a field, pearl of great price, the dragnet, and a scribe. 3 Ways Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life
Christians everywhere say that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus even said this of himself. But what does this mean? Is it merely bringing the physically dead back to life or is it something more?
The Son does what He sees the Father do
Then answered Jesus saying unto them: Verily, verily, I say unto you: The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. -John 5:19
This is a famous scripture in Brighamite Mormonism within the Latter Day Saint movement, I was always taught growing up that this referred to God the Father once being a human man. Jesus somehow saw the Father live His mortal life, and was doing the same. This idea never fully made sense to me for several reasons, but primarily because I was also taught that Jesus was created as a spirit baby after the Father’s mortality. Speaking to a friend this week I was enlightened to a new way of understanding this scripture, and in turn all scriptures.
