Kristine, the co-president of the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship, received a revelation to the Fellowship and the Sisterhood of Christ back in November 2019. However, she didn’t feel it was the right time to write it down. It wasn’t until May 19, 2020, that she felt compelled to record the revelation while in the Spirit of the Lord. This revelation was later formally adopted by the Fellowship on April 6, 2021, when the Assembly of Saints voted to accept it as canon, making the revelation authoritative and binding teaching of our movement. It has now been nearly five years since Kristine initially received God’s word on the role of women in our faith tradition. What have we learned?
The Revelation
Let’s start by looking at the revelation itself:
Listen Israel to the voice of the Lord: I, the Lord your God, am displeased with the patriarchal hierarchy that has been besieged upon My daughters for generations upon generations. My daughters have too long been pushed down, their voices silenced, and their priesthood power and authority ignored. In these, the latter days, I have set into motion the circumstances and have provided the tools needed for My daughters in Zion to reclaim their spiritual power and their birthright. I command My daughters to amplify their voices, together in Sisterhood, and uplift and enrich one another so that balance between My sons and daughters can be found on the earth once again. My daughters; do not seek to be more powerful or mightier than your brothers, yet you should stand with strength and steadfastness next to them, as equals, and join together as one to do My work. My sons; open thy spirits and thy minds to My daughters, hearken ye unto their voices, seek ye to uplift and work one with another, and seek ye not to dominate over them. This assembly of spirits and minds is fundamental in order for My plans to be fulfilled. I have more to say to My daughters, but for now this is enough; organize yourselves, together as a Sisterhood, and I will further make My will known as it befits My work. Amen.
This is a powerful message of hope, equity, and inclusion from the Lord to all of us, regardless of gender expression or orientation.

What it Means for the Fellowship
In the Fellowship of Christ, we envision the ideal relationship between men, women and all genders as one of equity, equality, and partnership. We strive to be a people where all genders work together in unity to fulfill God’s plans. We understand that this ideal relationship departs from traditional patriarchal structures and emphasizes mutual respect, shared authority, and active collaboration between men and women, and clearly so does the Lord. And maybe this is the point.
The revelation stresses that all people must stand as equals and work together as one. This signifies a move away from hierarchical structures where men hold dominant positions, advocating instead for a balanced partnership and towards true fellowship and discipleship. Because of this, the Fellowship echoes the Lord’s call for both all people to open their spirits and minds to each other, emphasizing the importance of listening and valuing one another’s perspectives. This mutual respect forms the foundation for healthy and collaborative relationships.
While the revelation does not explicitly mention shared authority, the emphasis on equality and partnership implies that decision-making and leadership roles within the Church (Christianity) should be shared in all genders. This is why we have the dual role of co-presidents. Neither Kristine nor I is over or higher than the other. We, and the Lord, ask all people to working one with another and join together to carry God’s work forward. This requires both active and intentional effort to collaborate on tasks and initiatives within the Fellowship.
The Lord explicitly calls on men to avoid dominating women, calling out the past and even present actions we see and have seen in our patriarchal societies. This underlines the importance of creating a safe and empowering environment for women to participate fully and contribute their unique gifts and perspectives. In essence, the Fellowship of Christ’s vision for the ideal relationship between all people in the Church of Christ is that of shared responsibility, mutual empowerment, and collaborative action where both genders contribute equally to the spiritual growth and mission of the Fellowship. This vision is grounded in the belief and understanding that God has called both men and women to participate fully in His work.
Being One in All Things
I believe that the Lord has made clear the main purpose of Kristine’s revelation: to challenge the patriarchal structures that have historically marginalized women within the Church and to call for a new model of shared authority and partnership between all of God’s people. The revelation boldly declares that God is “displeased with the patriarchal hierarchy” that has oppressed women for generations, silencing their voices and ignoring their spiritual power and authority. It emphasizes that God has set into motion the necessary circumstances for women to reclaim their rightful place within the Church and that He is calling upon them to step up, to speak up, to “amplify their voices” and “uplift and enrich one another” in sisterhood.
The revelation does not leave men out, it also directly addresses us, urging us to open our spirits and minds to the sisters to really listen to what they have to say, and to work with them as the equals they are. This emphasis on mutual respect, collaboration, and the rejection of domination highlights the Fellowship of Christ’s commitment to fostering a more egalitarian and inclusive Church environment.
Ultimately, this revelation is the Lord moving forward, ushering in a new era of partnership between all genders in the Church. God is calling us to crreate and be a place where all genders contribute their unique gifts and perspectives to the fulfillment of God’s plans. We believes this assembly of spirits and minds is fundamental to achieving God’s purposes and that only through unity and equality can they effectively carry out God’s work.
By formally adopting Kristine’s revelation as canon in April 2021, the Church of Jesus Christ in Christian Fellowship solidified its commitment to these principles and signaled its intention to actively work towards realizing this vision of gender equality within our community, the Latter Day Saint Community, the Christian community, and the global community.
