School of Prophets … a Tender Young Plant

I’ve been pondering recently about where we are in the rollout of the School of the Prophets, and here is the imagery that I have come to as I seek to understand our current situation.

We (the school of prophets) are as a tiny seedling sprouting. The Clouds gather above.  The Thunder of new life emerging is heard within the womb of mother Earth.  And a tiny seedling is sprouting.

The elements that will nourish us are also the elements that will challenge us.  Just as the seedling pushes against the earth around it in order to germinate, and once exposed to the wind and rain of the thunderstorm, the seedling is young and vulnerable, but the challenges are actually the wind that blows the vessel toward the promised land.

The advantage of being a seedling is the green flexible nature of a young plant.  Not the fibrous wood that will one day sustain a great tree.   But at this stage, the woody structure would be yet another restraint, boxing in the young seedling and hindering its progress.  As such, the young seedling should focus on the life and flexibility of the green stem which emerges.  Drawing its nourishment from our Mother the Earth and the water being poured down from the heavens, and focus on the direction of its growth (heavenwards) and not too much on the shape or the structure of the tree it will one day become.

Emerge from this initial stage NOT through the formation of wood, but through gathering together a healthy functioning viable living seeding of a school that draws its nourishment from the true vine and that all who look upon it say to themselves … surely the Lord’s vine is a pleasant plant.
