COUNCIL OF ELDERS REPORT TO THE FIRST PRESIDENCY: ITEM #3 OFFICIAL CALLINGS

April 12, 2021

Those who do not align with the majority of the principal issues of doctrine or practice upon which the Fellowship is based should not hold a leadership position therein. They should be released from official callings and designated members or “friends of the fellowship.” See Appendix C.

APPENDIX C

It is imperative that each of us participate in a way that resonates with our authentic intention. Victoria and Lorianne, do not feel the need to be part of a priesthood hierarchy, but wish to take part in a council of equals to fellowship in the word through revelation. Alexei does intend to be part of a local community of believers with a hierarchy of priesthood officers according to the Book of the Law of the Lord, which is in fellowship and connection with other communities, each local church being a stake of Zion. This matter requires greater clarification so that those of varying disposition may know if, how and on what level they may participate authentically.

  6. For any good and sufficient cause (Mosiah 11:129-141 RAV, 26:22-32 OPV).

Any incumbent whose office is declared vacant shall have opportunity for a fair and impartial hearing before meeting of the Council of Elders. The Council’s decision shall be considered final and the incumbent may have no further recourse.
